Michigan Trek 2006
Weekend Jaunt to Detroit, MI
Christmas over, and the Spring concert season kicking in soon, Sporksmith and myself decided to attempt at least one trip before the chaos began. I was invited up to MI to meet the family (his mom, step-father, and step-siblings). I got to ride the People Mover, ate flaming cheese and Baklavah in Greektown, gambled away 3 dollars at the casinos, stared across the lake at Canada, tasted the delight which is EggBake, snuck into the Cobo Center, toured the University of Michigan, drove through Grosse Pointe, and as far as was determined 'safe' thru 8 Mile, watched a child express her geek roots, and played with a dog smaller than my cats!
